Couples therapy is for anyone – gay, bi or straight, living together or apart – who wants to work on their close and intimate relationships. All relationships have ups and downs but it's when they get stuck that help from a professionally trained and skilled relationship counsellor can make a difference.
There are times when all relationships come under pressure. Sexual difficulties, children and parenting, work and money pressures, division of responsibilities, in-laws and – these things and many more can all get in the way of how we relate to our partners.
It can sometimes be difficult to ask for support but the impact of low quality or unstable relationships can be profound. Having somewhere safe and non-judgmental in which to communicate openly and honestly can lead to more rewarding experiences.
I offer professional, confidential support and a neutral space in which to explore your relationship. I did my intial training as a couples counsellor with Metanoia Institute, London, and then pursued it as a specialism by studying for a certificate with Relational Change and also with Joseph Melnick, PhD, a couples and family therapist at the Gestalt International Study Center, Cape Cod, USA. I then studied for and gained a Diploma in couples counselling.
